Updates on Phaneuf and Whitney


- According to one of our Flames bloggers the New Jersey Devils are leading the way for Dion Phaneuf, we have no names on who may be sent the other way but I would guess a top 6 Forward, a Defenseman and a 1st/2nd round draft choice would be going to Calgary.

- 8-10 teams are interested in Ray Whitney's services, he is a good top 6 Forward at a reasonable salary, I have heard the Senators, Bruins, Kings, Flames, Ducks, Canadiens, and Devils all have interest.

    WHat? Phaneuf for a top 6 AND a prospect and a 1st or 2nd??? No way man. WHat kind of BS are you trying to sell? Phaneuf alone doesn't get a 1st round nevermind adding a top 6 guy and a prospect.

    For New Jersey the top 6 Forward would likely be Zubrus who some view as a 3rd line Centre.
