Balsillie Is Out. Finally.

After months of dragging this out in the public eye, Jim Balsillie is giving up.  About time.  To bad it was a forced give up.  But a give up nonetheless.  It would have been nice if he just walked away a long time ago.  But he didn't and this turned ugly.  Now mind you, this ordeal isn't over for the NHL, but it sure is for Balsillie.  Thank god.

Fleury Officially Retires

"I could not sign with another team," Theo Fleury said. "I retire a Calgary Flame."

There you have it folks.  The once mighty little guy from Oxbow, Saskatchewan, is finished.  Theo Fleury has retired for good at the age of 41.  Will his number 14 be retired someday in the Saddledome?  Time will tell.  But at least this time, it's on his terms and he feels good about it.  Well done Fleury.

Nazem Kadri Back To Junior

The Maple Leafs highly touted 1st round selection, Nazem Kadri has been sent back to junior.  His 5 points in 6 games wasn't enough to keep him here for the upcoming season.  Mike Brophy has the story.  CLICK HERE
